This website does not represent an organisation, but is being set up as a meeting place for young Benedictine sisters worldwide. Started in June 2010, it is being designed and managed from Turvey Abbey, England. (On this website, ‘sisters’ includes both nuns and sisters.) ‘Young sister’ means a sister who made her final profession not more than ten years ago, but the definition is not applied strictly.
Unfortunately, at the moment all the photos available for use were taken in Europe, so are not representative of Benedictines worldwide.
Whilst the structure of the website is set up in English, we envisage posting contributions from young sisters in their own languages.
